Zoel J Richard

Zoel J. Richard, 100, of 125 Connors Street, Gardner died peacefully, Thursday, August 6, 2015 in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home of Gardner, surrounded by his family.
He was born in St. Anthony, N.B. Canada on December 14, 1914, the son of the late Joseph and Adeline (Gosseline) Richard.
He was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. He was also the oldest member of Acadien Social Club of Gardner.
Zoel was employed for many years as a Security Officer for the Pinkerton Company and most recently Lily Chemical of Templeton, retiring in 1979.
He enjoyed walking and tinkering with things. He loved to sing, and was an amazing storyteller. Zoel had a heart of gold and was always willing to help others; whether it was taking people to doctor appointments or distributing food to the needy of Gardner.
Zoel was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Alma M. Richard, who died September 29, 1999.
He leaves three daughters, Jeannette M. Vienneau and her husband Charles of Gardner, Diane M. Henrie and her husband Gerald of Baldwinville and Louise M. Gallant and her husband Ronald of Westminster; three sisters, Florence Gosselin of Templeton, Theresa LeBlanc of St. Anthony, N.B. Canada and Cecile Richard of St. Anthony, N.B. Canada; six grandchildren, Angie Sabettini, Charles Vienneau, David Henrie, Betty Tencati, Darren Gallant and Rhonda Rameau; sixteen great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by several siblings.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 11th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemtery, Gardner.
A calling hour will be held Tuesday, August 11th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
