Yvonne M. (Carpenter) Proulx, 83, of 51 Hospital Rd., Baldwinville and formerly of Pine View Apartments, Bridge St., Baldwinville, died Thursday, July 29th in the Baldwinville Nursing Home, Baldwinville, following an illness.
Born in Baldwinville on September 28, 1920, she was the daughter of Simon and Eva (Laporte) Carpenter.
She was a 1938 graduate of Templeton High School and in 1978 received an Associates degree in Human Services from Mount Wachusett Community College.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church, Baldwinville. Mrs. Proulx was a member and secretary of the Templeton Golden Agers and also a member of Templeton Women's Club. She enjoyed playing beano, doing crossword puzzles, reading and crocheting.
Her husband of 39 years, Napoleon Paul Proulx died in 1980.
She leaves 1 son Pierre Proulx and wife Judy of Manchester, NH; 3 daughters, Annette Caponi and husband Ernest of Leominster, Lucille Lawton and husband Raymond of West Yarmouth, Marcy Hallock and husband Gene of Hubbardston; 1 sister, Inez Gaidanowicz of Baldwinville; 8 grandchildren, Robert & Richard Caponi, Lisa DeMars, Michelle Cavanaugh, Jenney Nickerelli, Richard & Christine Proulx, Corey Hallock; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Earl and Robert Carpenter and 2 sisters, Ora Derosiers and Marion Ferraris.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday August 3rd from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 1 Forest St., Baldwinville. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Baldwinville.
