Yvonne M. (LeBlanc) Johnson, 81, of 116 Church Street, Gardner died Saturday, November 3rd in Heywood Hospital following a short illness.
She was born in St. Paul N.B. Canada on August 28, 1926, the daughter of Joseph and Marie-Louise (Richard) LeBlanc.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and its Ladies of St. Anne Society.
She enjoyed spending her time doing puzzles, knitting, quilting and cooking.
Her husband of 46 years, Gerald J. Johnson died March 27, 2001.
She leaves one son Ronald P. Johnson and his wife Lise of Orange; one daughter Claire M. Johnson-Croft and her husband Jim of South Hadley; two brothers, Alfred LeBlanc and his wife Maria of Dieppe N.B. Canada, and Leo-Paul LeBlanc and his wife Antoinette of Gardner; three sisters, Maria LeBlanc of Boucton N.B. Canada, Therese Poirier and her husband Dismas of Waltham; Jeannine Daigle and her husband Livain of Gardner; a sister-in-law, Claudette LeBlanc of Gardner; a brother-in-law, Clarence Gautreau of Moncton, N.B. Canada; two grandchildren, Justina Johnson of Athol and Stacia Johnson of Gardner; two step-grandchildren, Andrew and Matt Robinson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, Leo R. Johnson of Gardner who died in 1979; three brothers, Francis LeBlanc, Oscar LeBlanc and Emery LeBlanc; two sisters, Dorilla Gautreau and Florence Breau.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 8th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours in the funeral home will be Wednesday, November 7th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
