Yvonne M. (Arsenault) Daigle, 96, of Gardner, died peacefully Monday, December 30, 2019, in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, surrounded by her family.
Born in Guimond Village, St. Louis de Kent, New Brunswick, Canada, on October 7, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Fidele and Elmina (Guimond) Arsenault. She was a housekeeper for many years for various clients around the Gardner area. She was a member of the Annunciation Parish/Holy Rosary Church of Gardner, and a member of the Ladies of Saint Anne Society. Yvonne enjoyed cleaning and ironing, shopping, Sunday rides, and her trips to Maine and New Brunswick, Canada. Her most treasured time was spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Yvonne leaves one son Charles J. Daigle Jr. and his wife Charline of Gardner; three daughters Dorothy Gallant and her husband Pete of Baldwinville, Germaine Nash and her husband Robert of Gardner, and Annette Szivos and her husband John of Gardner; eight grandchildren Matthew Gallant and his wife Ayanna, Nicole Hemlin and her husband Scott, Kalyn Dudley and her husband Rick, Kasandra Erdman and her husband Bobby, Jillian Hilman and her husband Josh, Nick Nash and his wife Sarah, Erika Wallgren and her husband Chris and Kiel Szivos and his wife Jessica; thirteen great-grandchildren Madyson and Landyn Hemlin, Guerrin Gallant, Graham and Leo Dudley, Cahill Erdman, Zachery Hillman, Giana and Emmet Nash, Charlotte and Timmy Wallgren, and Evey and Parker Szivos; two sisters Alice Castonguay and Therese Leblanc both of Canada; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband of 28 years Charles J. Daigle who died in 1978; five brothers Aurele, Fidele, Emile, Raymond, Francois, Ulysse Arsenault; and two sisters Flavie Daigle, and Roseline Martin.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 3, 2020, in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
