Yvon J. "Skinny" Robichaud, 81, of 38 Baker St., Gardner, died unexpectedly Friday, April 7th in his residence following a short illness.
Born in Gardner on March 15, 1925, he was the son of Arsene and Marie Rose (Goguen) Robichaud.
He was a machinist employed by Travers Welding Co. of Gardner for 10 years until retiring in 1980. He was previously employed by Wainroy Co. of Hubbardston and Gardner Hardware Co.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church.
He leaves his wife of 58 years, Fidelice (Mills) Robichaud of Gardner; 2 sons, Phillip J. Robichaud and wife Debra of Barre, Terrence J. Robichaud of Gardner; 1 daughter, Yvonne Taylor and husband Randy of Bradenton, FL; 1 brother, Ronald Robichaud and wife Mae of Gardner; 3 grandchildren, Kurt Robichaud of Greenland, NH, Kendra King of Barre, Jennifer Berry of Alabama; 3 great-grandchildren, Brendan Robichaud, Shane Salame both of Templeton and Caden King of Barre; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Faylene (Barre) Robichaud of Gardner who died in January.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 14th @ 10:00 a.m in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner. Rev. Andre Dargis, pastor of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday, April 14th from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
