Sterling, formerly of Fitchburg

Yvette C. (Bourque) Robillard, of Sterling, formerly of Fitchburg, died peacefully Thursday, January 30, 2025, in Sterling Village, after a period of declining health. 

Born in Scoudouc, New Brunswick, Canada, on February 11, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Eddie and Rose (Belliveau) Bourque. She was a cafeteria worker employed by Fitchburg Public Schools for 15 years until her retirement. She was previously employed by Independent Lock as an assembler.

Yvette was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church of Fitchburg, where she was a member of its Ladies of Ste. Anne Society. She loved to work on crosswords and jigsaw puzzles. Yvette was an avid fan of her Boston Red Sox and enjoyed playing cards with her friends. Her greatest joy and treasure was her family, treasuring the time they spent with each other. 

Yvette is survived by her two sons, Bruce J. Robillard of Leominster, and Kevin J. Robillard and his wife Debbie of Hubbardston; a daughter, Nora M. Lowe and her husband Paul of Winchendon; four grandchildren, Kathryn and Hannah Lowe, Kelsey and Zachary Robillard; one sister, Huberte “Betty” Richard and her husband Roger of Fitchburg; several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Yvette was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Armand J. Robillard, who died in 2010; a brother, Valerie Bourque; and three sisters, Marie Auffrey, Jeanette Richard and Lucille Hebert. 

A Calling Hour will be held Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Montachusett Veterans Outreach Center, 268 Central Street, Gardner, MA 01440, or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601, or on their website at (www.alz.org). Please reference in memory of Yvette C. Bourque.
