Yvette M. Cormier, 78, of Gardner, died peacefully Wednesday, March 16, 2016 in Lakeview House Nursing Home of Haverhill, following a long illness.
Born in St. Paul, N.B. Canada on February 12, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Alderic J. and Jeanne M. (Girouard) Cormier.
Prior to retiring in 1976, Yvette was employed in the housekeeping department of the former Eastwood Pines Nursing Home of Gardner.
She was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church.
Yvette enjoyed dining out, going for car rides, and playing Bingo and cards. During the summer, she enjoyed trips to Hampton Beach.
She leaves three brothers, Emile J. Cormier and his wife Edna of Colona, British Columbia, Gerald A. Cormier and his wife Irma of Gardner and Leandre J. Cormier and his wife Anna of Gardner; one sister, Dorilla M. Cormier of Gardner; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 21st from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery of Gardner.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, March 20th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
