Yvette R. (Gallant) Aube, 87, of Gardner, died suddenly Saturday, May 31, 2014 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, after being stricken ill at home.
She was born in Mexico, Maine on December 24, 1926, the daughter of the late Amedee and Lena (Jolin) Gallant.
Yvette was employed by the City of Gardner as a teacher's aide and cafeteria worker at Waterford Street School for 20 years, retiring in 1989. She was formerly a teacher's aide at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary School and was previously employed by O.W. Siebert Company as a carriage maker for seventeen years.
Yvette was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner.
She enjoyed painting, crocheting and gardening.
Yvette was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Paul E. Aube, who died March 22, 2008.
She leaves one son, Peter J. Aube and his wife Lynn of Athol; one brother, Aurele Gallant and his wife Mary of Gardner; two sisters, Theresa Leger of Gardner and Irene Gauthier of Gardner; one granddaughter, Kaitlyn Aube; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two sons, Richard P. Aube and Robert W. Aube; three brothers, Arthur Gallant, Frederick Gallant and Alfred Gallant; and one sister, Bertha Kriskowski.
Graveside Services will be held Friday, June 27th at 2:00 p.m. in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner.
