Wilma (LeBlanc) (Richard) Cormier, 88, of 59 Eastwood Circle, Gardner and formerly of 125 Connors St., Gardner died Sunday, October 24th, in LaChance Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing, Gardner.
Born in Gardner on December 6, 1915, she was the daughter of John and Adele (Landry) LeBlanc.
She was a factory worker last employed by the Peterborough Ball Bearing Co. for several years. She previously was an upholsterer for Rousseau Bros. of Gardner.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and the Gardner Golden Agers.
She enjoyed walking, traveling, reading, gardening and listening to music.
Her first husband, Albert Richard died in 1968.
She leaves her husband, Edgar Cormier of Gardner; 1 son, Robert J. Richard and wife Marilyn of Winchendon; 1 daughter, Georgette Wanczyk and husband Stanley E. of Warwick, RI; 3 sisters, Lea Doiron of Methuen, Annie Ringuette of Gardner, Loretta Cunta of New Bedford; 2 grandchildren, James Richard of Winchendon and Stephen Wanczyk of Warwick, RI; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Henry and Clarence LeBlanc of Gardner and 1 sister, Emma LeBlanc of New Bedford.
A Memorial Mass from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner will be held Friday, October 29th at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial of cremains will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday, October 28th from
6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
