William J. "Billy" Walker, 48, of 409 Queen Lake Rd., Phillipston, died Monday, November 15th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, following a short illness.
Born in Gardner on June 2, 1956, he was the son of William S. and Ruth E. (Merchant) Walker.
At the time of his death he was a shipper employed by Nichols & Stone Co. of Gardner where he worked for the past 15 years. He was previously employed by Digital Equipment Co. of Westminster.
He was a 1974 graduate of Gardner High School. He was an avid golfer and a long-time Patriots Season Ticket holder.
Besides his parents of Phillipston he leaves 2 brothers, Barry S. Walker and David L. Walker both of Gardner; 2 sisters, Nancy A. Gelinas of Florida and Diane L. Walker of Phillipston; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 18th @ 10:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Lower Cemetery, Phillipston.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday, November 17th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
