William F. "Bill" Frisch, 76, of 363 State Road, Otter River, died Saturday, November 12, 2011 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner surrounded by his family, following a long illness.
Bill was born in Fitchburg on January 13, 1935, the son of the late Lester and Elsie (Morse) Frisch.
He was a wire and cable engineer employed by Judd Wire, Inc. of Turners Falls for several years, retiring in 1997. He was also an Engineering Consultant for various local companies until the time of this death.
Bill graduated from Fitchburg High School with the Class of 1953, and later attended night classes at Lowell State College in Lowell.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Baldwinville.
Bill was a Life Time Member of the Otter River Sportsman Club and he was a member of the V.F.W. Roy L. Boyce Post 650 of Athol.
He was a United States Korean War Navy Veteran and received the China Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting, classical music and was a talented artist. He was also an avid scuba diver many years ago. Bill most enjoyed spending time with his family.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, Sally A. (Smith) Frisch of Otter River; three daughters, Karleen M. Fletcher and her husband John of Baldwinville, Rhonda L. Laine and her husband Leonard of Templeton and Karyn J. Frisch of Quincy; two brothers, Lester Frisch and his wife Georgette of Tewksbury and George "Bob" Frisch and his wife Linda of Fitchburg; one sister, Lori Meola and her husband Dennis of Charlton; four grandchildren, Travis, Kelsey and Trevor Fletcher and Ryan Laine; one aunt, Louise Lucier of Florida; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one grandson, Clayton Laine who died in 2009 and by two granddaughters, Meghan Laine who died in 1991 and Chelsey Fletcher who died in 1990.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, November18th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 1 Forest Street, Baldwinville. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Baldwinville.
A calling hour in the funeral home will be Friday, November 18th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
