Warner M."Scotty" Hines

Warner M. "Scotty" Hines, 74, of 122 Fitzgerald Road, Rindge, NH, died suddenly Monday, January 7, 2013 in Monadnock Community Hospital, Peterborough, NH, after a brief illness.
Born in Gardner on December 27, 1938, he was the son of the late Stanley and Hazel (Graham) Hines.
He graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1956 and later attended classes at Fitchburg State College, Fitchburg.
Warner was a United States Air Force Veteran, serving his country for 22 years as a Radio Communications Analysis/Security Superintendent. After retiring from the Air Force, Warner was employed by the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier in San Antonio, TX for over 20 years, retiring in 2001.
Warner had a passion for building hot rods and was an avid fan of the New England sports teams.
He was a member of the American Legion, Post #13 of Greenville, NH and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Warner leaves his wife of 52 years, Joan B. (Petitti) Hines of Rindge, NH; one son, Craig S. Hines and his wife Lynn of Greenville, NH; one daughter Laura M. Hines and her partner Jana of Mt. Vernon, NH; one sister, Heather Peterson and her husband Ronald of San Antonio, TX; two grandchildren, Frazier and Faith Hines of Greenville, NH; one niece, Penny Benavidez of San Antonio, TX; one nephew, Barry Peterson of Dallas, TX; and two cousins, Kathleen Bashline of Seabrook, NH and John Graham of South Dakota.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 21st at 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Greenbower Cemetery, Gardner. Reverend Dr. Gary Heikkila will officiate.
A calling hour in the funeral home will be Monday, January 21st from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gardner Little League, PO Box 762, Gardner, MA 01440.
