Virginia N. Vaillancourt

Virginia N. (Cormier) Vaillancourt, 104, of Gardner, died peacefully Sunday, May 27, 2018 in her residence, following a brief illness.
Born in Sackville, N.B. Canada on May 8, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Jane (Belliveau) Cormier.
Virginia was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner.
She was a devoted, loving wife and mother who spent her life caring for her family. Virginia enjoyed reading, and she loved to cook. Many years ago she prepared the 'chicken pot pies' for Duguay's Fried Chicken restaurant of Gardner.
Virginia was predeceased by her husband, Jules J. Vaillancourt, who died in 1999.
She leaves two sons, Jules P. Vaillancourt of Gardner and Peter C. Vaillancourt, Sr. of Gardner; one daughter, Maria Vaillancourt of Maynard, MA; four sisters, Yvonne Preliasco and her husband Roderick of Gardner, Florence Trifillo of Falmouth, MA, Fern Darling of CA and Muriel Basillio of Fitchburg; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Virginia was predeceased by her son, Raymond Vaillancourt who died in 2012; daughter, Aline A. Vaillancourt who died in 2017; two brothers, Jeffrey Cormier and Daniel Cormier; and sister, Irene Barrieault.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 5th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour will be held Tuesday, June 5th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
