Virginia Lee (Berry) Cormier, 73, of Gardner, died peacefully, Tuesday, February 11, 2020, in Alliance Health at Baldwinville, surrounded by her family.
Born in Gardner on January 5, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Raymond W. Berry and Sophie (Maki) King. Virginia was a graduate of Gardner High School with the Class of 1965. She was a telephone operator employed by Verizon for several years until her retirement in 2006.
She was a parishioner of Chestnut Street Methodist Church of Gardner. Virginia loved going for car rides, knitting and crocheting. But the time she loved and cherished the most was spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Virginia is survived by two sons Michael Cormier of Gardner, William Cormier, and his wife Julie of Gardner; five grandchildren Dylan, Ashlyn, Amber, Sophia, and Meadow Cormier; one nephew Scott Berry; one niece Robin Berry; several cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband of 48-years, Clifford Alcide Cormier, who died in 2015; one daughter Christine Cormier, who died in 1969; one brother Richard W. Berry; and one nephew Ricky Berry.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 17, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, at a later date at the convenience of the family.
A Calling Hour will be held Monday, February 17, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
