Viola L. "Vi" (LeBlanc) Dionne, 93, of 25 Franklin Court, Gardner, died peacefully Thursday, August 23rd in her residence surrounded by her family.
Born in Gardner on March 14, 1914, she was the daughter of Augustin and Christine (Cormier) LeBlanc.
She was a woodworker employed by L.Z. Kamman Co. of Gardner for 17 years, retiring in 1976.
Mrs. Dionne was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and its Ladies of St. Anne Society. She enjoyed knitting, cooking and she especially enjoyed political topics.
Her husband of 60 years, Henri P. Dionne, died in 1999.
She leaves 5 daughters, Janice Levesque of Manzanita, OR, Bernice R. Dionne of Gardner, Priscilla T. McKillop of Braintree, Rachelle D. Dionne of Washington, DC; L. Marcelle Feltman and her husband Neal of Wendell; 4 sisters, Lizanne Thibodeau of Gardner, Amanda LeBlanc, Helene LeBlanc both of Bouctouche, NB, Canada, Silverine LeBlanc of Montreal, PQ, Canada; 8 grandchildren, Jacqueline Morgan, Michelle Diez, Monique Sullivan, Nicole Ulwelling, Matthew McKillop, Patrick McKillop, Adam Feltman, Lindsay Feltman; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by 3 brothers, Willie, Wilfred and Raymond LeBlanc, and a sister, Delima.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 25th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Saturday, August 25th from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
