Victoria M. Mandarano

Victoria M. (Pagnotto) Mandarano, 96, of Gardner, passed away, Sunday, November 15, 2020, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, after a brief illness.

Born in Leominster on November 10, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Sylvia (Occhipinti) Pagnotto. She graduated from Leominster High School with the Class of 1942. Victoria was a legal administrative assistant employed by the United States Army Judge Advocates Office at Ft. Devens, MA, for 27-years until her retirement in 1985.

Victoria was a member of the Gardner Chapter of AARP, the Gardner Senior Center, and the Gardner Municipal Golf Course. She was an avid and excellent golfer, having won the Ladies Golf Championship at Gardner Municipal twice and got an ace on the 6th hole. Victoria also enjoyed bowling, going to the gym, playing cards, watching the Boston Red Sox, and playing Bingo. But the time that she revered the most was spent with her family.

Victoria is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Charland and her husband Vernon of Phillipston; two grandchildren, Amber Lee Charland, and Stevie Lynn Charland; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

She was predeceased by her son, Bruce Mandarano; a granddaughter, Christina Goddard; two brothers, Phillip and Emanuel Pagnotto; and a sister, Agnes Clear.

Family, as well as many close friends and “adopted” family will miss her enthusiasm for life, her kindness, and love.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 7, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Anthony Padua Church, 84 Salem Street, Fitchburg, MA 01420. Burial will follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery, 96 Goodrich Street, Fitchburg, MA.

Calling Hours will be held Sunday, June 6, 2021, from 2:00p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc. 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA.
