Timothy J. "Tim" LeBlanc, 75, of Gardner, died Thursday, February 9, 2017 in his residence with his wife by his side following a long illness.
Born in Gardner on November 19, 1941, he was the son of Louis J. and Pearl (McKellick) LeBlanc.
Tim graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1959. He earned his Bachelors Degree in Education from Fitchburg State University in 1963, and his Master's Degree in Education also from Fitchburg State University in 1973.
He was a teacher at Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School of Fitchburg for 37 years retiring in 2002.
Tim was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner.
He was a dedicated and positive active member of the community. Tim was a member and also served several terms as past King Lion of the Lions Club of Gardner and was District Governor of Lions District 33A. He was a member with the Jaycees organization for many years, where he also served as its newsletter editor, member and past president of North Central Human Services. He was a member, vice president, and president of Retired Educators Association of Massachusetts (REAM). Tim was a member of the Gardner Museum and was a member and President of the Accreditation Committee of Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School of Fitchburg. He was also active in Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical Schools drama and musical departments.
Tim enjoyed golfing, traveling, going for walks and doing crossword puzzles. He loved spending time at McDonalds enjoying coffee with friends. He was a loyal and devoted son to his parents.
He leaves his wife of 49 years, Sandra J. (Erickson) LeBlanc of Gardner; one sister, Virginia M. Beauregard and her husband Charles of Reading, MA; one niece, Amy Beauregard; one nephew, Robert Beauregard and several cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 14th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner at a later date.
Calling hours will be held Monday, February 13th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
