Thomas J. "Tom" Sullivan Jr., 51, of 4 West Shore Drive, Ashburnham, died Tuesday, August 30th in the Leo P. LaChance Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing, Gardner, following a short illness surrounded by his family and friends.
Born in Lowell on March 20, 1954, he was the son of Thomas J. and Catherine Joyce (Gibbons) Sullivan.
He was a self-employed accountant for several years.
He was a 1972 graduate of Lexington High School, received an associates degree from the Middlesex Community College in 1977 and in 1983.graduated from the New Hampshire College, Manchester, NH with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.
He was a member of the Ashburnham Community Church.
He enjoyed reading, living near Sunset Lake, helping people without hesitation and especially loved his family. He was a loyal Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.
He leaves his wife of 20 years, Jo-Anne (Lenzer) Sullivan; 1 son, Thomas J. "Thos"Sullivan III; 2 daughters, Kelly L. Sullivan and Brigid G. Sullivan all of Ashburnham; 3 brothers, Michael Gallagher and wife Mary of Cosby, TN, Paul Gallagher and wife Kathy of Nashua, NH, John Sullivan of Sunderland; 1 sister, Mary Field and husband Gary of Tewksbury; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves a mother-in-law, Dolores Lenzer of Onancock, VA; and 2 sisters-in-law, Jill Wilt of Onancock VA and Jean Lenzer of Kingston, NY. He was predeceased by his father-in-law Howard Lenzer and a brother-in-law, James Lenzer.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 3rd @ 11:00 a.m. in the Ashburnham Community Church, 9 Chapel St., Ashburnham. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Calling hours at the Boucher Funeral Home,Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner will be held Friday, September 2nd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
