Thomas J. "Tom" Kelley, 51, of 174 Minott Road, Westminster and formerly of 14 Margaret St., Gardner, died Thursday, September 8th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center - University Campus, Worcester, following a short illness.
Born in Gardner on January 13, 1954, he was the son of the late Norman M. Kelley.
He was a moulding technician employed by C. Plastics, Inc. of Leominster for 4 years. He was an electrician previously employed by Raborne Electrical Co. of Gardner for several years.
Mr. Kelley was a 1972 graduate of Gardner High School and completed the Electrical Course at Worcester Boys Trade School.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. He was a member of the Napoleon Club and the Otter River Sportsman's Club. He enjoyed gardening and outdoor sports, especially canoeing, basketball and Nascar Racing. He coached youth basketball and thoroughly enjoyed spending time at Schoodic Lake, Milo, Maine.
He leaves his mother, Leona M. (Cormier) Kelley of Gardner; his significant other, Cynthia E. Boivin of Westminster and her 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren; 1 brother, Paul J. Kelley and wife Valerie of Gardner; 1 sister, Linda M. Boulier and husband Paul of Concord Township, Ohio; several aunts, uncles, 1 niece, 2 nephews and several cousins.
A Memorial Mass will be held Monday, September 12th at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner, will be at the convenience of the family.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday, September 12th from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
