Thomas E."Tom" Gallant

Thomas E. "Tom" Gallant, 70, of 590 West Street, Gardner, died peacefully Wednesday, October 15, 2014 in Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Gardner.
Born in Rhode Island on April 18, 1944, he was the son of the late Edward T. and Odile (Donnelle) Gallant.
Thomas graduated from the former Fitchburg Vocational School in 1962.
He was a mechanical engineer employed by Simplex Time Recorder of Gardner for 28 years, retiring in 2007.
Thomas was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church of Gardner. He was also a member of the Otter River Sportsman Club of Templeton.
He enjoyed playing horseshoes, computer games and working in his yard. He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots. Thomas enjoyed spending time sitting on his porch and bird watching. He treasured spending time with his family and grandsons.
He leaves his wife of 47 years, Judith A. (Moschetti) Gallant of Gardner; one son, Greg T. Gallant and his wife Elana of Buckeye, Arizona; one daughter, Kerry A. Bergeron and her husband John of Winchendon; one sister, Janice Hullette and her husband Rudy of Fitchburg; his step-father, Norman Nadeau of Fitchburg; three grandsons, Hugo, Dean and Beau Gallant; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 22nd at 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, October 22nd from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
