Thomas C. Forrester, 85, of Gardner, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022, in his home surrounded by his family after a hard-fought battle with declining health.
Born in Fitchburg on May 2, 1937, he was the son of the late Bradie P. and May J. (Girard) Forrester. Tom was a Campus Police Sergeant employed by Mount Wachusett Community College of Gardner prior to his retirement in 2002. He was previously employed by H&R as a machinist.
Tom loved being outside enjoying nature where he was an avid gardener, bird watcher and fisherman. He enjoyed running and bike riding. Tom loved working on cars and watching NASCAR. His greatest joy was spent with his family, treasuring the special moments together.
Tom is survived by his wife of 59-years, Judith A. (Bourgeois) Forrester of Gardner; a son, David Forrester and his fiancé Johanna Morgan of Gardner; two daughters, Joanne Cormier and her husband Douglas of Hubbardston and Kara Huntoon and her husband Eric of Sterling; six grandchildren, Karmen, Kiana, Danae, and Gianna Forrester, Arik and Louis Huntoon; a great-granddaughter, Mia Anjel Forrester; a brother, John D. Forrester and his wife Carol of Arizona; a sister, Jane Levesque and her husband Richard of Maine; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by a son, William Forrester; and a sister, Donna Allard.
Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
