Thomas E"Tucker" Bond

Thomas E. "Tucker" Bond, 66, of 142 Nichols Street, Gardner died Tuesday, August 13, 2013 in his residence, after being stricken ill.
Born in Manchester, NH on December 28, 1946, he was the son of the late Sherman and Gladys (Johnson) Bond.
Thomas attended Central High School in Manchester, NH and later received his GED in 1967.
He was a United States Vietnam War Army Veteran and received the National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea) and the Sharpshooter Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Rifle Bar (M-14).
Thomas was a Masonry Tender for several years. He was known to be the best mason tender in the Manchester area and a great asset to the companies he was employed by. He was previously employed by Berkshire Builders of Bedford, NH, Steve Gilmartin Masonry, A & A Masonry and Heritage Masonry all of New Hampshire.
Thomas enjoyed fishing, playing cribbage and going to Rietta Ranch Flea Market in Hubbardston. He was passionate about Native American art and memorabilia, and his hobbies included creating string and wire art. Thomas loved to help friends with his masonry tending skills, he loved being around people and attending family gatherings. Thomas was also an active member in the Veterans community, participating in various Veterans related events.
Thomas leaves one sister, Sandra Marchwicz and her husband John of Manchester, NH; three brothers, Bernard Bond and his wife Elaine of Ware, NH, Leonard Bond and his wife Claire of Shelbyville, IN and Russell Bond and his wife Corrine of Londonderry, NH; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother, Kenneth Bond who died September 19, 2012.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, August 22nd at 3:00 p.m. in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon.
There are no calling hours.
