Therese E. Manseau

Therese E. (Lavoie) Manseau, 77, of 6 Fox Run, Townsend, and formerly of 125 Connors St., Gardner, died Thursday, March 24th in her residence following an illness.
Born in Gardner on January 3, 1928, she was the daughter of Medard and Alphonsine (Daigle) Lavoie.
She was a hairdresser employed at Duray's Beauty Shoppe of Gardner for several years.
She was a 1945 graduate of Gardner High School, graduated from Wilfred Academy of Cosmetology of Boston in 1946 and attended Mount Wachusett Community College.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and its Ladies of St. Anne Society.
Therese was a loving grandmother who enjoyed reading, playing cards, doing crossword puzzles and knitting. She was an accomplished artist and enjoyed giving her paintings as gifts to her many relatives and friends.
Her husband of 51 years, Leo R. Manseau, died in 2001.
She leaves 3 sons, Michael L. Manseau and wife Janis of Houston, TX, Patrick J. Manseau and wife Kathey of Lexington, TN, Kenneth R. Manseau of Fort Myers, FL; 4 daughters, Suzanne T. Gatton and husband Tracy of Westford, Elaine M. Manseau of Westminster, Lisa Anne Johnson of Darden, TN, and Anne Marie Gaskins and husband Robert of Townsend with whom she made her home; 2 brothers, Lucien O. Lavoie of Marion and Roger A. Lavoie of Worcester; 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Gill and Roland Lavoie and a sister, Doris Lavoie.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 29th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday, March 28th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
