Therese M. (Boucher) Landry, 83, of 47 Lake Street, Gardner and formerly of Depot Road, Templeton, died peacefully, Wednesday, April 6, 2011 in her residence surrounded by family.
Therese was born in St. Francois, N.B. Canada on January 3, 1928, the daughter of the late Cyrille and Vitaline (Dionne) Boucher.
Prior to retiring in 1991, she was an assembler employed by T.R.W. Fasteners of Westminster for several years. She was previously employed by Foster Grant Company of Leominster and was a nurse's assistant for 20 years at Heywood Hospital in Gardner. Therese was also a private duty nurses aide for six years.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Gardner.
Therese 's hobbies included knitting, crocheting, playing Bingo and cooking. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. She enjoyed going to Foxwood's and watching Soap Operas on television. Therese was a housewife who loved spending time with her family.
She leaves her husband of 64 years, Antonio J. Landry of Gardner; seven sons, Michel J. Landry and his wife Debbie of Henderson, NV, Jean-Louis Landry and his fiancée Dena Nefzmery of Las Vegas, NV, Pierre A. Landry and his wife Claudette of Hubbardston, Francois J. Landry and his companion, Marsha Janhunen of Gardner, Paul A. Landry and his wife Gloria of Gardner, Bernard J. Landry and his wife Cheryl of Fitchburg and Charles J. Landry and his wife Helen of Holden; three daughters, Nicole T. Stevens of Lyndon Center, VT, Jacinthe M. Simonds and her husband Phillip of Decatur, TX and Bernadette Richard and her husband Dennis of Fitchburg; five sisters, Julie Lizotte of St. Francois, N.B. Canada, Laurianne Michaud and her husband Livio of Edmundston, N.B. Canada, Sister Irene Boucher of the R.H.S.J. of St. Basil, N.B. Canada and Sister Dorilla Boucher of the R.H.S.J. of Montreal, Canada and Armande Boucher and her companion Maurice Legault of Montreal, Canada; nineteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three brothers, Albert, Willie and Alphe Landry and by two sisters, Lina and Odelie Bouchard.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 11th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 1:30 p.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner at a later date.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Sunday, April 10th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
