Theresa M. Morrissey

Theresa Marie (Girouard) Morrissey, 63, of Baldwinville, MA died peacefully with all of her family by her side Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT after an acute illness.

Theresa is survived by her significant other, Brian Bush of Baldwinville, MA; her two children, Amy Morrissey-Holway and her spouse Byron Holway of Phillipston, MA; Christopher Morrissey and his spouse Michael Follansbee of Palm Springs, CA; and a granddaughter Amelie Morrissey of Northampton, MA. 

Theresa was preceded in death by her mother Marie Theresa (Connors) Girouard (2007) and father Franklin Delano Girouard (2017).

She is also survived by her siblings, Tami Pitisci and her spouse Greg of Barre, MA, Timmy Girouard and his significant other Connie of Germany; Tommy Girouard and his spouse Linda of Barrington, NH; a stepbrother Stephen Girouard; a half-sister Aimee and her spouse Jeremy; Nieces Marissa and Carolyn Pitisci; and several cousins. 

Born in Gardner, MA, Theresa graduated from Narragansett Regional High School with the class of 1979. She became a CNA and gently cared for many while working in nursing homes in the area throughout the years. 

Theresa enjoyed a good cup of coffee, chatting with friends, snuggling her beloved pug, Sophie, and very much enjoyed spending time at the ocean with her feet in the sand. 

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home Inc. 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home. 

Although she loves flowers, other memorial contributions may also be made to Ahimsa Haven Animal Rescue, 273 Central Street, Winchendon, MA 01475, for her other love of animals. Please reference in memory of Theresa Morrissey.
