Theresa A. (LaRoche) Farr, 70, of 40 North Main St., E. Templeton, died Thursday, May 13th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner following an illness.
Born in Winchendon on July 26, 1933, she was the daughter of Henry and Laura (Casavant) LaRoche.
She was a Claims Specialist employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division of Employment & Training for 17 years, retiring in 1995.
She was a 1951 graduate of Our Lady of the Mountains Academy, Gorham, NH. She was a member of Holy Cross Church and was past president of its Rosary Sodality. Mrs. Farr was a member of the Templeton Women's Club and was a former member of the Mr. & Mrs. Club of Templeton. She worked at the polls during elections.
She enjoyed crocheting, traveling and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
She leaves her husband of 50 years, Dwight R. Farr of East Templeton; 1 son, William H. Farr and his wife Virginia of Rindge, NH; 2 daughters, Kathleen A. Gardner and her husband Kenneth C. and Patricia M. Campbell and her husband, Dennis P., all of East Templeton; 6 grandchildren, Stephanie and Robert Gardner, Daniel Campbell, Amanda, Katie and Elizabeth Farr; 1 aunt, Regina Sheppard of Fitzwilliam, NH and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 17th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 25 Lake Ave., East Templeton. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Templeton.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Sunday, May 16th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
