Theresa M. Arsenault

Theresa M. (Reinikainen) Arsenault, 93, of Gardner, died peacefully Saturday, December 14, 2024, in Wachusett Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Gardner, after a period of declining health.

Born in Worcester on July 31, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Sulo and Beatrice (Beauregard) Reinikainen. She graduated from Saint Anne’s Academy of Marlborough with the Class of 1949. Theresa was a utilization reviewer employed by the medical records department at Heywood Hospital in Gardner for several years until her retirement in 1990.

Theresa was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish of Gardner, practicing at its Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. She loved to read, go for walks, and was a true animal lover who enjoyed all types of pets throughout the years. Theresa rehabilitated wildlife, and loved to feed her favorite animal, squirrels. Her greatest love in life was her family, treasuring all the time spent together, especially her favorite weekly Sunday dinners, and the holidays.

Theresa is survived by four sons, Duane R. Arsenault and his wife Sandra of Gardner, Reed J. Arsenault and his significant other Barbara Olendski of Sterling, Craig R. Arsenault and his wife Priscilla of Gardner, and Scott R. Arsenault and his wife Phyllis "Tiny" of Fitchburg; seven grandchildren, Crystal, Kevin, Katie, Jeffrey, Joshua, Christopher and Jennifer; several great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, Deacon Roger D. Arsenault, and her son, Neal J. Arsenault.

Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
