Teresa E. (Ballaster) Girouard, 87, of 114 Euclid Street, Gardner, died peacefully Saturday, July 26, 2014 in Keystone Center of Leominster.
Born in Winchendon on August 11, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mae (McNeil) Ballaster.
Teresa graduated from Murdock High School, Winchendon with the Class of 1944.
She was a sales clerk employed by Goodnow Pearson Company of Gardner, retiring in 1991. Teresa was also a sales clerk at True Value of Gardner.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner.
She enjoyed shopping, knitting and reading. She loved animals, especially cats and dogs.
Teresa was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, James Girouard, who recently died on July 15, 2014.
She leaves one son, James J. "Chip" Girouard and his wife Ingrid Buckman of Nashua, NH; two sisters, Dorothy Therrien of Leominster and Beverly Hancock and her husband Richard of Gardner; two grandchildren, Joshua and Jordan Girouard; one great-grandchild, Holden Girouard; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one son, Kevin L. Girouard and by several brothers.
Services will be private.
Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner is handling the arrangements.
