Sylvia M. Therrien, 58, of 34 Carol Drive, West Boylston, died Sunday October 2, 2005 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, MA, following an illness.

Born in Gardner, MA on May 25, 1947, she was the daughter of Rene G. and Yvonne I. (Duchesneau) Therrien.

She was the Assistant Controller to the Vice President at Worcester County Institute for Savings, Worcester, MA where she worked for 27 years.

She was a 1965 graduate of Gardner High School, Gardner, MA and graduated from Becker Junior College in 1967 where she majored in Accounting.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Gardner. She loved spending time outdoors, enjoyed nature and picnicking, and enjoyed being with her 2 nephews and her niece.

She leaves one brother, Kenneth P. Therrien and his wife Carol; 2 nephews, Brian K, and David G. Therrien; and one niece Renee N. Therrien; all of Ellington, CT.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 7, 2005 from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, with a mass at 10:30 am in Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Rev. Andre Dargis will officiate.
Burial will be at a later in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner, MA.

Calling hours in the funeral home will be held Thursday evening from 6pm-8pm.
