Suzette M. Knower

Suzette M. (Valliere) Knower, 71, of Gardner, died peacefully Tuesday, December 10, 2024, in her residence surrounded by her family after an illness.

Born in Boston on April 29, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Vincent E. and Yolanda (Petracone) Valliere. She graduated from Narragansett Regional High School with the Class of 1971 and from Mount Wachusett Community College with her Associate Degree in Criminal Justice. She would go on to receive her certificate from the Department of Corrections.

Suzette enjoyed sewing, working on crafts and decorating her house for the different seasons, her favorite and by far most decorated time of the year, Halloween. She was a homemaker whose greatest pride and true joy was her family treasuring the time spent with them.

Suzette is survived by her husband of 46 years, Donald Knower of Gardner; her three sons, Scott Kendall of Baldwinville, Brandon Knower of Gardner and Brian Knower and his wife Callie of Gardner; seven grandchildren, Zander, Jackson, Mary, Dominic, Sophia, Logan and Kayleigh; a brother, Euguene Valliere of Centerville and his children Danielle and Matthew and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to thank her care team, Dr. David Havlin, Dr. John Harrington and her team from Care Central VNA and Hospice, Stephanie, Taylor, Beth, and many more for their loving and compassionate care they provided.

Calling Hours will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Funeral Services will proceed at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA.
