Susan M."Susie" D'Ambroise

Susan M. (Babineau) D'Ambroise, 55, of 22 Lake Avenue, E. Templeton, died peacefully, Monday, September 23, 2013 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, after being stricken ill at home.
Born in Toronto, Canada on January 21, 1958, she was the daughter of Imelda (Davis) Babineau and the late Remi Babineau.
Susan graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1976. In 1983 she received her Associates Degree in Business Administration from Mount Wachusett Community College, Gardner.
She was employed by Budget Rent A Car in the credit and collections department for five years, retiring in 2000.
Susan was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner, and was active for many years with its annual Bazaar.
She was a pesco-vegetarian who enjoyed cooking, gardening and crocheting. Her favorite television programs were cooking shows, crime shows and Survivor. She loved traveling to the Cape Cod Canal and Canada with her family. Susan loved life and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves her husband of 28 years, Dennis D'Ambroise of East Templeton; her mother, Imelda (Davis) Babineau of Moncton, N.B. Canada; two daughters, Sherry (St. Cyr) Bernard and her significant other, Glenn Deyo of Worcester and Shelley L. (St. Cyr) Bielak and her husband Jeffrey of Winchendon; one son, Derek D'Ambroise of Winchendon; one stepdaughter, Jennie D'Ambroise, PHD of Amherst; one stepson in law, Michael Shersnow of Shutesbury, MA; one sister, Linda Babineau of St. Marie De Kent, N.B. Canada; three grandchildren, Kolby, Dyllan and Taryn Deyo and two step-grandchildren, Elijah and Gwendolyn Shersnow; two nieces, Rachel and Jocelyn Collette; several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by a stepdaughter, Tanya (D'Ambroise) Shersnow who died March 18, 2013.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 28th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner at a later date.
Calling hours will be Friday, September 27th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
