Susan J"Sue, Suzie" Bernard

January 9, 1950 — July 16, 2009

Susan J. "Sue", Suzie" (Croteau) Bernard, 59, of 549 Central Street, Winchendon, died peacefully Thursday, July 16th in UMass Memorial Medical Center, 55 Lake Ave N., Worcester, following a brief illness.

Born in Gardner on January 9, 1950, she was the daughter of the late George and Cecilia (Mei) Croteau.

Sue graduated from Narragansett Regional High School, Templeton with the Class of 1968.

She enjoyed doing word search puzzles, playing Bingo, reading Steven King books and watching old television shows.

Sue was predeceased by her husband, Raymond A. Bernard who died in 1985.

She leaves one son, Jeffrey A. Bernard of Jaffrey, NH; two brothers, Joseph N. Croteau and his dear friend, Theresa Moyer of E. Templeton and James P. Croteau of E. Templeton; three sisters, Georgette J. Croteau of E. Templeton, Kathy M. Coppock and her husband Alan of Marietta, OH, and Cynthia J. Croteau of E. Templeton; one aunt, Rachel Tresback and her husband Larry of Gardner; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Sue was predeceased by one brother, John P. Croteau and two sisters, Phyllis A. Croteau and Darlene M. Croteau.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 25th at 2:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be at a later date in St. John's Cemetery, Clinton, MA.

A calling hour in the funeral home will be Saturday, July 25th from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
