Stephen M. LaRoche, 70, of 288 Park Street, Gardner and formerly of Boston, died peacefully Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in his residence following a long illness.
Stephen was born in Gardner on September 20, 1941, the son of the Romeo and Pauline (King) LaRoche.
He graduated from Gardner High School, Gardner with the Class of 1959. He attended the New England Conservatory of Music and later graduated from the Longy School of Music in 1964.
Stephen was a classical pianist employed by the Boston Ballet, the Boston Conservatory School of Dance and the Jose Mateo Ballet of Cambridge.
He was a published poet, an organist for the Unitarian Church in Petersham and was an accomplished pianist who touched many lives.
Stephen leaves his mother, Pauline (King) LaRoche of Gardner; one brother, James R. LaRoche of Hubbardston; one sister, Charlotte A. Rheault and her husband Richard of Gardner; three nephews, Jason Duda, Tim LaRoche and Jon LaRoche; and several cousins.
Graveside Services will be held Saturday, March 31st at 11:00 a.m. in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner will be Saturday, March 31st from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
