Sigrid "Cricket" A. Boudreau

Sigrid “Cricket” A. (Nelson) Boudreau, 77, of Templeton, died peacefully Tuesday, June 18, 2024, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, surrounded by her family.

Sigrid was diagnosed with breast cancer 1 year ago, and she faced the illness with bravery and strength. Throughout her treatment, she remained positive and focused on the things that brought her joy. Cruising, shopping, watching her children, grandchildren, family and friends enjoying the pool and walking her yard daily to admire her plants and flowers.

Born in Framingham on May 23, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Rosabel (Miville) Nelson. Sigrid proudly received her GED in 1972. She was an EKG Technician employed by Heywood Hospital of Gardner for 30 years until her retirement in 2009.

Sigrid was a parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul Church of Baldwinville.

Sigrid is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gerard J. Boudreau of Templeton, three daughters, Bonnie A. Ryan of Winchendon, Tammy A. LaClair and her significant other Benjamin Prentiss, of Templeton, Charlene M. Fox and her husband Steven, of Winchendon, and a son, John G. Boudreau and his wife Amy, of Baldwinville; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and several cousins.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a grandson, Timothy J. Fox in 2022.

Calling Hours will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 27, 2024, with a Mass at 1:00 p.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 1 Forest Street, Baldwinville, MA. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA.
