Shirley K. (Boudreau) Leger, 82, of 172 Sherman Street, Gardner, died Monday, December 28th in The Legends of Gardner, following a brief illness.
Born in Gardner on February 4, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Byron and Harriett (Beasley) Boudreau.
Shirley graduated from Worcester South High School, Worcester with the Class of 1944.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Gardner.
Shirley enjoyed playing bingo, oil painting, listening to country music and figure skating. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Shirley leaves her husband of 62 years, Roger A. Leger of Gardner; one son, Ronald G. Leger and his wife Diana of Gardner; one daughter, Elaine M. Shannon-Brewer and her husband Allen of Greensboro, NC; three grandchildren, Juliet L. and Jessica R. Shannon of Greensboro, NC and Chad LeBlanc of Winchendon; two great-grandchildren, Logan and Lydia LeBlanc of Winchendon; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Valerie Boudreau and by one sister, Marion Bryan.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 31st with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 166 Cross Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA.
