Shawn D. LaJoie

Shawn D. LaJoie, 42, of Fitchburg, died Monday March 12, 2018 in his home due to complications from diabetes and seizures.
Shawn was born and raised in Gardner, and attended Gardner High School.
Prior to retiring due to illness, he was a subcontractor Truck Driver employed by Swift Transportation Company of Memphis, TN for four years. Shawn loved and truly enjoyed being on the road as a Truck Driver.
Shawn loved Friday night pool at "Dan's Pub" with his close friends and family, was an avid fan of all New England sports teams, and enjoyed taking trips to Maine to spend time with his extended family and to visit his granddaughter Brooke. His greatest joy when not in Maine visiting his granddaughter was weekly 'facetiming' with her. After becoming ill he became a devoted player of electronic games, especially "World of Warcraft" where he joined thousands of others in an online world of myth, magic and limitless adventure.
Shawn leaves his wife of 10 years, Danielle N. (Hallet) LaJoie of Fitchburg; one son, Tyler J. Hallett of Fitchburg; one granddaughter, Brooke Labrecque of Maine. He was predeceased by his daughter Rachael LaJoie who died in 2014.
There are no funeral services scheduled.
