Shawn D. Anderson, 46, of Lowell, died peacefully Wednesday, August 19, 2015, in Tufts Medical Center, Boston, following an illness.
Shawn was born in Bar Harbor, Maine on May 25, 1969, the son of David D. Anderson and Linda L. (Borkowski) (Anderson) White.
He attended Quabbin Regional High School of Barre.
Shawn was a carpenter employed by City Mirror and Glass Company of Lowell for many years, retiring recently due to illness.
He enjoyed cooking out and watching NASCAR, baseball and football with his friends. He was a hard worker with a heart of gold who will truly be missed by his family and many friends. May he now rest in peace.
Shawn leaves his mother, Linda L. (Borkowski) White of Hubbardston; his father, David D. Anderson of San Diego, CA; one son, Christopher Starkweather of Hubbardson; half-brother, Grant Anderson of Waltham; two step-brothers, Kris White of Leominster and Scott White, Sr. of Gardner; maternal grandmother, Dorilla J. (LeBlanc) Borkowski of Gardner; paternal grandmother, Therese B. (Columbus) Anderson of Fitchburg; paternal grandfather, Donald R. Anderson of Templeton; one niece, Sarah White of Gardner ; one nephew, Scott White, Jr. of Gardner; several aunts, uncles and one special aunt, Tina who was very fond of him; several cousins and close friends. He was predeceased by his step-father, Robert H. White; maternal grandfather, Edmond V. Borkowski; one niece, Krislin White; and three uncles, Glen Borkowski, Neil Borkowski and Arne Lahtinen.
Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gardner Animal Control Facility, with checks made payable to City of Gardner Shelter Fund, c/o Board of Health, 95 Pleasant Street, Rm 29, Gardner, MA 01440, or to a charity of the donors choice.
