Scott A. Johnson, 50, of 26 Minuteman Drive, Templeton, would like everyone to know that he died. Scott passed away Wednesday, September 24th, in his residence following a struggle with cancer.
Born in Gardner on May 8, 1964, he was the son of the late Ernie Johnson and the late Gloria (Valia) Johnson.
Scott attended Narragansett Regional High School, Baldwinville. He was a chef employed by Red Tail Golf Course of Devens for the past two years. Scott was previously employed at his brother Roger's company, Hardric Labs of Chelmsford.
He loved cooking, fishing on his boat, camping and spending time in North Maine woods with friends. He loved animals, especially his dog Bijou and cats Jr. and Bobby. He enjoyed spending time tending to his birds and feeders. Scott will always be remembered for his favorite response to small dilemmas, which was "why?".
Scott leaves his mother, Claudette (Robichaud) Johnson of Templeton; one daughter, Stephanie Johnson and her partner, Eric Wright of Gardner; six brothers, Roger A. Johnson and his wife Doris of Templeton, who was a primary caregiver during Scott's illness, Ernie V. Johnson, Jr of Winchendon, Jesse S. Johnson and his partner Tina Davis of Westminster, Matthew J. Johnson and his wife Kelly of Gardner, Danny R. Patriquin of Templeton and Russell E. Januszkiewkz of Templeton; two sisters, Sherry Berube and her husband Chuck of Petershan and Jennifer S. Mosher and her partner Doug Gleason of Winchendon; one grandson, Felix Wright; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves his best friends, Mike Lafrenier, Brad Walker, Pete Tourigny and Jamie Clark. Scott was predeceased by one brother, Ray Goland; two sisters, Kristen Johnson and Cindy Patriquin; and stepmother, Judith Johnson.
According to Scott's wishes, there are no funeral services planned.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gardner Relay for Life, 350 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01604. Scott would like to spread the message loud and clear of the dangers of smoking.
