Scott A. Bailey, 59, of Gardner, died peacefully Thursday, November 1, 2018 in St. Vincent’s Hospital of Worcester, following a brief illness.
Born in Jacksonville, NC on October 27, 1959, he was the son of Patricia (Hetu) (Bailey) Richards and the late Robert A. Bailey.
Scott graduated from Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School of Fitchburg with the Class of 1978. He was a United States Navy Veteran who served during peacetime.
He was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. He was also a former member of the Greater Gardner Exchange Club, member of the Elks Lodge 1426 of Gardner, and was currently Treasurer of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 747 of Gardner and also served many terms as its President. Scott was passionate about the Eagles and dedicated his life to improving the community and making life better for all.
Scott leaves his mother, Patricia (Hetu) (Bailey) Richards and her husband James of Winchendon; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Mark A. Bailey who died in 1992.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 14th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:30 in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon.
A calling hour will be held Wednesday, November 14th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
