Sandra E. (Laliberte) Robichaud, 64, of 447 Patriots Road, Templeton, died Friday, May 1, 2009 in Health Alliance Leominster Hospital, Leominster, following a brief illness.
Sandra was born in Worcester on June 8, 1944, the daughter of the late Edward and Barbara (Laliberte) Richard.
Prior to retiring in 1991, Sandra was a supervisor and inspector employed by H & R 1871 of Gardner for several years. She was previously employed by Stanley's Taxi of Gardner as a driver and dispatcher.
Sandra attended Narragansett Regional High School, Templeton.
She was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church, Templeton. Sandra was a member of the American Kennel Club.
Sandra was well known in the dog show circuit. She enjoyed showing beagles, and had many top placing beagles. She also enjoyed watching college football, doing jumbled puzzles and Sandra especially treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren.
Sandra was predeceased by her husband, John D. Robichaud who died in 2004.
She leaves one son, Joshua J. Robichaud of Templeton; five daughters, Christine J. Alisauskas of Gardner, Nannette M. Leonard and her husband Mark of Templeton, Michelle A. Levasseur and her husband Peter of Templeton, Mary E. Malone of Gardner, and Francine L. Braks and her husband Richard of Templeton; two brothers, Michael E. Richard and his wife Debbie of Templeton and Thomas A. Richard and his wife Cindy of Templeton; four sisters, Sharon A. Hamel and her husband Ron of Gardner, Jeanne M. Harper and her husband John of Keene, NH, Cathy J. Meunier and her husband Dennis of Winchendon and Tracy L. Clark and her husband Jeffrey of Hubbardston; five grandchildren, Daniel E. and Amber A. Alisauskas of Gardner, Ashley L. and Brett C. Levasseur of Templeton and Rebecca N. Leonard of Templeton; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Robert Richard who died in 1958.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 8th with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Glenallen Street, Winchendon.
