Sandra J. LeBlanc

Sandra J. (Erickson) LeBlanc, 83, of Athol, formerly of Gardner, died peacefully Monday, February 24, 2025, in Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol, after an illness with her family by her side. 

Born in Gardner on May 3, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Gunnar and Gladys (Bacon) Erickson. She graduated from Narragansett Regional High School with the Class of 1959 and Fitchburg State College with her Bachelor of Arts in Education and her Master’s in Education. Sandra was a teacher employed by Crocker Elementary School of Fitchburg for many years until her retirement. 

Sandra was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish of Gardner, practicing at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. She was a member of the Greater Gardner Jaycees and the Gardner Lions Club Auxiliary. Sandra enjoyed cooking and traveling to various places with her late husband, Tim. Her greatest enjoyment and treasure was her family, making countless memories throughout the years. 

Sandra is survived by her two siblings, Keith Erickson and his wife Patricia of Athol, Ruby Dembek and her husband Victor of Templeton; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years, Timothy J. LeBlanc, who died in 2017; three sisters, Shirley Hackett, Dorothy Cormier, and Beverly Chase; and two brothers, Gordon and Herbert Erickson. 

Calling Hours will be held Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. 

Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 3, 2025, from the funeral home with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA, will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family.
