Ruth Mae Robinson

Ruth Mae (Hunter) Robinson, 80, of 32 Hospital Hill Road, Gardner, formerly of Winchendon and Baldwinville, died peacefully Sunday, September 1, 2013 in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner.
Born in Gardner on May 22, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Bernice A. (McCrillis) Hunter.
Ruth graduated from the former Templeton High School with the Class of 1951, and was a private housekeeper for local families for many years.
She was a member of the Baldwinville Congregational Church. Ruth was also a member of the Snowbound Club of Winchendon, Deep Sea Club of Gardner, Two Hearts as One Square Dancing Club, Cerebral Palsy Association and the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services Association.
Ruth enjoyed square dancing, bowling, camping and housecleaning. She loved spending time with her family, and taking care of others. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Olan Robinson, who died in 2010.
She leaves one son, Albert I. Robinson of Winchendon; one brother, George Hunter and his wife Emily of Zephyrhills, FL; two brother-in-laws, Prentice Robinson and his wife Priscilla of Pensacola, FL and Alden Robinson and his wife Lanie of Waynesville, NC; niece, Jane Irish and her husband Joel of Amherst, NH; nephews, Dr. Jeffrey Hunter and his wife Linda of Tacoma, WA and Steven Hunter and his wife Suzanne of Renton, WA; several additional nieces, nephews and cousins. Ruth was predeceased by a daughter, Cheryl Robinson, who died in 2003.
Graveside Services will be held Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Cemetery, Baldwinville. Pastor Beverly Long of Winchendon will officiate.
According to Ruth's wishes, there are no calling hours.
