Ruth LeBlanc

Ruth C. (Charbonneau) LeBlanc, 79, of 51013 Galina Bay, Boynton, FL and also of East Templeton, MA died Monday, July 9th in U-Mass Memorial Medical Center-University Campus, Worcester, after being stricken ill in her summer residence at the Templeton Fish & Game Club in East Templeton.

She was born in Fairhaven, MA on July 27, 1927, the daughter of the late Roger and Marie-Anne (Desautels) Charbonneau.

Mrs. LeBlanc was co-owner with her husband Romeo of the Cape Cod Motel, Hollywood, Fl. for 10 years, retiring in 1973. She was formerly a hairdresser for several years.

Ruth was a 1946 graduate of the Presentation of Marie Academy, Hudson, NH.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner. Mrs. LeBlanc enjoyed traveling, playing cards, watching television, reading and especially shopping.

She leaves her husband Romeo LeBlanc whom she recently celebrated 60 years of marriage with on July 4th; one daughter, Pauline R. Rockwood of Pampano Beach, FL; one half-brother, Marc Charbonneau and his wife Colleen of Boynton Beach, FL; one sister, Rita Veiga and her husband Dr. Adriano Veiga of Waterbury, CT; one half-sister, Louise Merritt and her husband Roger of Pensocola, FL; one grandchild, Jason Todd Rockwood of Pampano, FL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 19th with a Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be at a later date.

There are no calling hours.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.

Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, is in charge of the arrangements.
