Ruth M. (Carter) LeBlanc, 91, of 125 Connors Street, Gardner, died peacefully Friday, June 13, 2014 in The Highlands, Fitchburg, following a brief illness.
Born in Gardner on October 12, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Eva (Condon) Carter.
Ruth was employed as the Manager of the Sea Catch Motel of Hampton Beach, NH for many years, retiring in 2010. She was previously employed by Robillard Pharmacy of Gardner, was a Hostess at the Old Mill Restaurant of Westminster and was employed at Rose's and LeBlanc's Clothing Store.
Ruth was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner.
She enjoyed skiing, dancing, bowling, and walking the bike path. She enjoyed playing golf and also watching golf on television. She loved spending time with family, and also enjoyed spending time at Hampton Beach. Ruth was a long time member of the Westminster Country Club of Westminster, a member of the Ski Patrol at Mt. Watatic, a member of Five Arrows Bowling Team and the Gardner Golden Agers.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Lionel J. LeBlanc, who died April 8, 2011.
She leaves one son, Daniel J. LeBlanc of Westminster; one daughter, Kimberley A. Dolan and her husband Timothy of Westminster; two sisters, Harriet Birt of GA and Marion Critchet of NH; three grandchildren, Kelley, Audrey and Katie Dolan; two nieces, Corrie Marcinkiewicz-Stake and Lindsey Marcinkiewicz and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, David J. LeBlanc who died in 2003; three brothers, Chester, Howard and Roland Carter; and one sister, Helen Gallant.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, June 20th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon.
Calling hours will be Thursday, June 19th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
