Ronald Herve Richard

Ronald Herve Richard, 82, of 335 Nichols Road, Fitchburg, formerly of 60 Ridgewood Lane, Gardner, died peacefully Sunday, March 15, 2015 in The Highlands of Fitchburg.
Ronald was born in Gardner on July 21, 1932. He was the son of the late Leonard and Laura (Richard) Richard.
He was employed by Nichols and Stone Furniture Company of Gardner for eight years as a machinist and sander, retiring in 1997. He was previously employed by George B. Bent Company, Inc. of Gardner.
Ronald was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner.
He enjoyed oil painting, playing the keyboard and guitar. Ronald was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and loved spending time with his family.
Ronald was predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Barbara (Piascik) Richard, who died in 1996.
He leaves one brother, Omer A. Richard and his wife Gloria of Gardner; one sister, Diane Leger and her husband Ronald of Gardner; one grandson, Jeremy Pelletier; two nieces, Brenda Johnson and Michelle Hamel; one nephew, Chad LeBlanc; two great-nieces, Lydia LeBlanc and Ashley Griffin; one great-nephew, Logan LeBlanc; one great-great nephew Elijah Griffin; and several cousins. He also leaves his special friend, Donna Pouliot of Fitchburg. Ronald was predeceased by his daughter, Suzanne Pelletier who died in 2009; and by one brother, Raymond Leger who died in 2005.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 18th at 1:00 p.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery of Gardner at a later date.
There are no calling hours.
