Ronald L. LaRoche, 76, of 19 City Hall Avenue, Gardner died suddenly Tuesday, October 14, 2014 in Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Gardner, after being stricken ill at his residence.
Ronald was born in Springfield, MA on April 4, 1938, the son of the late Leo and Alberta (Harmon) LaRoche.
He was employed by Moduform, Inc. of Fitchburg for several years, retiring in 2003.
Ronald enjoyed woodworking, going to flea markets and yard sales, but his most treasured times were those spent with family and friends.
Ronald was predeceased by his wife of 27 years, Rita (LaBonte) LaRoche who died in 1987.
He leaves his special companion, Gladys Grigarauskas of Gardner; three sons, Brian R. LaRoche and his wife Ann-Mari of Gardner, John Carabba and his wife Toni of Beaverton, OR and Bruce Garvick and his wife Cherie of Gardner; one daughter, Audrey Carabba of Gardner; four brothers, Richard LaRoche and his wife Linda of Gardner, Douglas LaRoche and his wife Pam of North Brookfield, Arthur "Skip" LaRoche and his wife Marge of Suffolk, VA and Edward LaRoche and his wife Julie of Ashburnham; twelve grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son, Robert Carabba; sister, Linda Perreault and grandson, Brian K. Farrow.
According to Ronald's wishes, his body has been donated to the University of Massachusetts Medical School of Worcester.
Graveside Services in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner will be held at a later date.
