Ronald E"Ronnie" Albee

January 12, 1928 — April 21, 2015

Ronald E. "Ronnie" Albee, 87, of 108 Pelley Street, Gardner, died Tuesday, April 21, 2015 in his home, in the presence of his loving family.
He was born January 12, 1928, the son of the late Ray and Nellie (Kenney) Albee.
Ronnie graduated Pro-Merito from Gardner High School with the Class of 1946.
He was a lifelong resident of Gardner, a town he proudly served for 38 years as a City employee working as a Foreman for the Gardner Highway Department and as Director of Public Works from 1979 until his retirement in 1985.
He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church of Gardner, a member of the Otter River Sportsmen's Club and was a member of the National and Massachusetts Trappers Association.
Ronnie was a man of integrity and faith who enjoyed life's simple pleasures: fast water trout fishing, fur trapping, gardening, walking and canoeing woodland areas, reading the Gardner News with his glass of wine, dancing with his wife, and friendly teasing of his loved ones until his blue eyes would twinkle in delight. He made all those he met feel welcome and accepted.
Ronnie was a devoted husband to his wife Claire (Meunier) Albee for over 66 years; a loving father to his eight children, a dear Pepere to his twenty four grandchildren, and a kind great Pepere to his fifteen great grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, and by his "four favorite" daughters and "four best friend" sons; Robert Albee and his wife Yani of Wilmington, NC, Diane Albee of Gardner, Daniel Albee and his wife Cyndi of Columbia Falls, ME, Gary Albee and his partner Eddie Moscati of Tamworth, NH, Aline Albee of Gardner, Linda Daigle and her husband John Daigle of Fitzwilliam, NH, Alan Albee and his wife Kate of Brookline, NH, and Lisa Albee Wehner of Gardner, MA.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday April 25th at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 166 Cross Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Crystal Lake Cemetery, Gardner.
There are no calling hours.
