Roland G. Voisine

Roland G. Voisine, 70, of 151 Rosewood Drive, Gardner, died peacefully Sunday, November 13th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, following a long battle with multiple myeloma.

Born in St. Basile, NB, Canada on November 18, 1934, he was the son of Thaddee Voisine.

He was a finisher employed by New England Wooden Ware of Gardner for 10 years, retiring in 1999. He was previously a punch press operator employed by Collier-Keyworth Co. of Gardner for 25 years.

Mr. Voisine was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. He was a 3rd degree member of the Gardner Knights of Columbus Council 396. He enjoyed spending time with his family, eating out, vacationing and hockey.

He leaves his wife of 48 years, Annette (LeBel) Voisine of Gardner; his mother, Aline (Martin) Voisine of St. Basile, NB, Canada; 3 daughters, Colette L. Broeckel and husband Roland, Denise Voisine and fiance Val J. Cormier all of Gardner, Diane M. Hamilton and husband Sean of Templeton; 3 brothers, Gerald Voisine and wife Alma, Conrad Voisine and wife Lorraine all of St. Basile, NB, Canada;; Joel Voisine and wife Claudine of Edmundston, NB, Canada; 4 sisters, Agathe Voisine of St. Basile, NB, Canada, Claire Hebert and husband Fernand, Rita Aucoin and husband Raymond, Dora Ouellette and husband Jean-Paul all of Edmundston, NB, Canada; 1 grandson, Patrick Hamilton of Templeton; 2 aunts, Diane Guertin of Gardner, Eugenie Guertin of Athol; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 16th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.

Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday, November 15th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
