Roger D. Robichaud, 75, of 251 Worcester Road, Westminster, died peacefully Thursday, September 10tth in his residence, surrounded by his family, following a brief illness.
Born in Gardner on September 1, 1934, he was the son of the late Aurele and Suzanne (Pellerin) Robichaud.
Prior to retiring in 1992, Roger was a planner employed by Digital Manufacturing Corp. of Westminter for 25 years. He was previously employed by James River Paper Co. of Fitchburg for 13 years.
Roger graduated from Cushing Academy, Ashburnham with the Class of 1952.
He was a member of St. Edward the Confessor Church of Westminster.
Roger was a United States Army Veteran and received the Good Conduct Medal.
Roger was an Officer with the Oakmont Booster Club. He was a member of the National Good Sam Club. Roger was a sports enthusiast, enjoying football, baseball and coaching youth sports. He liked to travel, watch old Westerns on television and listen to country music.
Roger was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Elsie M. (Niemi) Robichaud, who died February 21, 2007.
He leaves two sons, Mark R. Robichaud and his wife Robin of Westminster and Michael G. Robichaud and his wife Kellie of Ashburnham; one daughter, Debra A. Ray and her husband Charles of Belchertown; one sister, Jeanette M. Jaillet of Westminster; five grandchildren, Tyler R., Spencer R. and Connor R. Robichaud all of Westminster and Christian M. Robichaud and Arianna R. Robichaud both of Ashburnham; two nieces, Holly Ryan of Gardner and Tracy Hennemann of Lithia, FL; and several cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, September 18th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Edward the Confessor Church, 10 Church Street, Westminster. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery, Westminster.
