Roger J. Poirier

Roger J. Poirier, 55, of Viera, FL and formerly of Gardner and Worcester, died Tuesday, December 28th in Viera, FL following an illness.
Born in Gardner on July 22, 1949 he was the son of Bernard Poirier.
While living in Gardner and Worcester, he was employed by Digital Equipment Co. in Westminster and Marlboro.
He was a graduate of Narragansett Regional High School, Baldwinville.
Mr. Poirier was a Vietnam War U.S. Marine Veteran.
He leaves his wife, Jean (Lewandowski) Poirier of Viera, FL; 2 sons, Joseph M. Poirier of Leominster and Kyle A. Poirier of Florida; 3 daughters, Patti L. Dunn of Fitchburg, Karen B. Poirier of Gardner, and Kasey J. Poirier of FL; his mother, Lena (Gaudet) Poirier of Otter River; 1 brother, Robert B. Poirier of Gardner; 2 sisters, Kate A. Nolt of Wilmington, NC and Jackie C. Leger of Gardner; 3 grandsons, James Dunn Jr., Bryan Dunn both of Fitchburg and Justin Poirier of Gardner; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a son Cody Poirier.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 8th @ 2:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Saturday, January 8th from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
